Saint Francis Xavier University is a university located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. The university is home to about 4,500 students in arts, sciences, business, information systems and applied programs from Canada and other parts of the world.

St. Francis Xavier College was a Catholic institution founded in Arishat, Nova Scotia, in 1853.[2] The college was moved in 1855 from Arichat to its current location in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.[3] In 1866, St. Francis Xavier College was founded in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

In 1866, St. Francis Xavier College received university status, becoming St. Francis Xavier University (St. Francis Xavier University) and awarding its first degrees in 1868. In 1883, Mount St. Bernard Academy was founded for female education comprising primary grades through twelfth grade taught by the «Sisters of Notre Dame».

A partir de este semestre, los estudiantes de la Universidad Sergio Arboleda pueden aplicar al Programme D’Échanges Éstudiants (PÉÉ) del Bureau de Coopération Interuniversitaire (BCI), programa de intercambio que es posible gracias a un convenio entre la Asociación Colombiana de Universidades (ASCUN) y la Conferencia de Rectores y Directores de Universidades de Quebec (CREPUQ).

Bishop’s University, Université Laval, Polytechnique Montréal y Université de Sherbrook, son algunas de las instituciones incluidas en el convenio PÉÉ con sede en Quebec, provincia del este de Canadá, que se distingue por tener una cultura y costumbres diferentes a las del resto del país y donde el 96% de los habitantes habla francés.
