Las becas tienen por objetivo apoyar a los estudiantes a realizar una estancia académica como parte de sus estudios de licenciatura en universidades de diferentes partes del mundo que tienen convenio con Santander Universidades. Hay becas por curso, anuales y semestrales.
La empresa, en función de sus necesidades, podrá acoger al becario durante el tiempo que considere necesario, pero será responsable, junto con el becario, de realizar todos los trámites de inmigración y contratación que ello implique, según la normativa de cada país. Por lo tanto, la duración recomendada de las prácticas es inferior a 180 días (incluyendo el viaje de vuelta), ya que esto significa que los participantes no necesitarán un visado para el trabajo no remunerado.
Las prácticas no son remuneradas, pero las empresas pueden ofrecer un pequeño estipendio a su discreción, de acuerdo con la legislación laboral vigente en el país de destino de las prácticas y que incluya todo lo que dicha legislación exija.
