In December 2015, the university was granted the university name, being renamed Thomas Edison State University, instead of its former name Thomas Edison State College.[3] The university’s name was changed to Thomas Edison State College.[3
TESU houses a number of works of art, including a painting by N. C. Wyeth titled «Reception to Washington on April 21, 1789, at Trenton on his way to New York to assume the duties of the Presidency of the United States,»[9] the Quantum ring sculpture,[10] a bronze map of Trenton, and plaques and collections in tribute to Thomas Edison. [11] Inside the Kelsey building, a lavishly adorned room was built as a special tribute to Prudence Townsend Kelsey.[6] The Prudence Townsend Kelsey Memorial Room is a permanent display space for the porcelain and art that she and her husband, Henry Cooper Kelsey, collected on their annual trips to Europe. Paintings, porcelains, and bronzes on display in the Memorial Hall.[12] Most of the collections are composed of souvenirs and mementos purchased by the Kelseys on their annual trips abroad. Some of the items housed in the room include a porcelain asparagus jar, a jeweled Demitasse cup and saucer from Coalport, charms, vases, and various pieces of Porcelain and glass from Austria, England, Germany, France, and Ireland.

If you want to learn English in order to enter university, it is best to contact the nearest community college to register for placement classes, or directly at the university you are interested in.

Under these laws a postsecondary institution must provide appropriate academic adjustments to ensure that it is not discriminating on the basis of disability. The academic adjustments a student receives are determined by the student’s disability and needs.

There are many accreditation agencies, and a college or university (if you don’t know the difference between «college» and «university» click here to learn more about it) can be accredited by only one of them or by several at the same time. In addition, there are «professional organizations» that accredit not the educational centers, but a specific program such as an engineering program.
It is really important when studying a career in the USA, to choose a center (College or University) that is accredited by a recognized agency, since this guarantees that the studies done will be recognized by other universities, in the case that, for example, you want to change university or do a master’s degree in another educational center.
