The main Latin American rankings were represented by Brazil (95 universities), Mexico (64 universities) and Colombia (61 universities), which between them represent more than half of the universities ranked. Chile is positioned as the fifth country in terms of participating institutions.

The QS University Rankings is a worldwide ranking prepared by the Quacquarelli Symonds group, a British company specialized in education, and is one of the most prestigious rankings in the world.
