Caifanes comenzó como una banda sumergida en el misterio y lo desconocido, en la magia y lo invisible como los máximos promotores del rock mexicano. Para la Clausura de la quincuagésima edición del Festival Internacional Cervantino, su música y sus letras reafirmarán por qué son parte del soundtrack de varias generaciones y por qué captaron y han mantenido nuestra atención desde su primer disco.

When we arrived everything was normal, just another visit to the UPR Tower. The panorama changed, the very moment we opened the first lock. It was a mysterious and mystical experience at the same time. A cold, a warmth…a silence entered. It was like a transfer: it felt magical, going through that first door.
The intruders arrived! The carillon hinted as its bells and pipes rang loudly with our unnoticed presence. We were spellbound…and deafened by the thunderous resonance. It was there, the place we all listen to every day, the one we watch from the sidewalks, the one everyone admires and few have had the opportunity to enter.
With the construction of the University Tower, the Carillon arrived. IUPI al Día had the opportunity to interview the engineer Orlando Ruiz, the person in charge of the entire electrical system and who knows the most about the operation of what he called «the voice of the Tower».
