The university established the country’s first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute) in 1939, which became the founding center of Hanyang University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in Korea.
The Hanyang University Medical Center was established in 1972, and in 1979, a second campus was established in the industrial city of Ansan. The newly established campus was named «Hanyang Banwol Campus» and renamed «Ansan Campus» in 1987, which was used until it was renamed Educational Research Industry Campus in Ansan (ERICA) in September 2009 .
Introduced for the first time in 2016, the «G2 (English-Chinese) Program mandates the completion of an English and Chinese course and adopts the submission of an official qualification of the two languages as a mandatory requirement. In addition to strengthening its ties with other universities, such as Tsinghua University, China, Hanyang University seeks to provide a world-leading education that pursues internationalization by expanding quality and relevance.

En #geminiobs22 habrá charlas invitadas y contribuidas, sesiones de pósters, noticias sobre los proyectos de instrumentación en curso, actualizaciones sobre el desarrollo de las operaciones, fabulosas cenas y animados debates sobre los planes estratégicos de Gemini para la próxima década. Tenga en cuenta que se desarrollarán simultáneamente planes de reuniones presenciales/híbridas y virtuales para que los participantes y organizadores puedan adaptarse rápidamente a las circunstancias cambiantes.
Durante más de dos décadas, el Observatorio internacional Gemini ha impulsado el descubrimiento astronómico para la asociación internacional Gemini. Los telescopios gemelos ópticos/infrarrojos de 8,1 m de Gemini proporcionan acceso a ambos hemisferios del cielo y operan en dos de los mejores emplazamientos del mundo para la astronomía terrestre (Maunakea, Hawai, y Cerro Pachón, Chile). Los telescopios albergan un amplio conjunto de instrumentos espectroscópicos y de formación de imágenes, que cubren longitudes de onda entre 0,4 y 5 micras, con capacidades de óptica adaptativa optimizadas para el infrarrojo cercano (~1-5 micras).

Dr. Micha was a member of the National System of Researchers since its foundation in 1984, as well as of the American Mathematical Society, the Mexican Mathematical Society and is a permanent member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
