Although the presence of the Hispanic population has been a constant in the history of the United States, especially in the southwestern part of the country, its growth was favored after the approval, in 1965, of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which abolished the quotas assigned to each country, favoring in practice a migratory flow from Latin America and the Caribbean. Although Hispanics are also informed through radio and newspapers, neither of these formats is as widely used as television or the Internet. Moreover, both radio and television exhibit a downward trend in their use. In 2016, 55% of Hispanics listened to news on the radio during a typical weekday, down from 64% in 2006. Similarly, the use of newspapers as a news source dropped from 58% in 2006 to 34% a decade later.

Current status, risk identification and proposals for the management of invasive species present in the priority hydrological regions, Confluencia de las Huastecas, Media Luna and Cabecera del río de La Laja.
In the priority hydrological regions Confluencia de las Huastecas, Media Luna and Cabecera del río de La Laja (P006, S115 and FM027), 29 sites located mainly in lentic systems will be selected in order to determine a series of biological parameters, based on a series of bimonthly collections during an annual cycle, which together with those reported in the literature will allow establishing the risks of 11 invasive species in the proposed regions. With the information from this project and the background information, a database will be built with the Biotica 5.0 administrator, which will include at least 250 records of 11 species from at least 35 localities; the database will also include in the nomenclatural module the characteristics of the 11 invasive species. Additionally, with this information, risk evaluations will be obtained for each species using the Invasiveness Scoring Kit methodology. In order to finally issue the diagnosis and the corresponding management measures.
