The college of the State University of New York (SUNY) located in Plattsburgh is an accredited institution founded in 1889. The campus is located 100 km south of Montreal, Canada, and 500 km from New York City.

Plattsburgh is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. We offer more than 60 degree and certificate programs. Our School of Business and Economics is accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Plattsburgh offers the English Bridge Program to help students improve their English language skills in preparation for full-time academic study. Depending on TOEFL or IELTS scores, students admitted to the English Bridge Program are required to take English as a Second Language courses, some of which offer credit toward graduation requirements. The average ESL class has fewer than 15 students, providing numerous opportunities to interact with the teacher and other students.

The State University of New York at Geneseo-also known as SUNY Geneseo, Geneseo State, or simply Geneseo-is located in the village of Geneseo, Livingston County, New York State.
