El Boletín de Investigaciones Latinoamericanas (BLAR) publica investigaciones originales de interés actual sobre América Latina, el Caribe, las relaciones interamericanas y la diáspora latinoamericana, procedentes de todas las disciplinas académicas de las Ciencias Sociales y las Humanidades. BLAR publica artículos de investigación originales individuales o números especiales coordinados por un editor invitado. Además, la revista incluye una sección ocasional de Debates, en la que se publican ensayos de vanguardia sobre investigaciones emergentes en este campo. BLAR también publica una importante sección de reseñas de libros, con el objetivo de cubrir las publicaciones en inglés, español y portugués.
El Bulletin of Latin American Research ha adoptado ahora ScholarOne Manuscripts para el envío de manuscritos en línea. El nuevo sistema permite un envío rápido y fácil en línea, con directrices detalladas y ayuda disponible para los autores. Through the virtual patrol conducted by the SSC staff, other unusual situations were identified, since to install such applications users give access to their address book and image gallery, which they use if the person does not pay in a timely manner, and receive a series of threats via telephone or WhatsApp messages or, in some cases, the photos were posted on social networks offering alleged sexual services or refer that the affected person is a fraudster.
After an analysis it was identified that some citizens only downloaded the application and never requested the loan or never made the money transfer; however, they did grant permissions to access their personal information; before the citizen complaints, the SSC through the Cyber Police managed with the competent authority to terminate such applications with the information collected and the report of complainants.
