El máster era excelente y estaba especialmente diseñado para aquellos cuya primera titulación era en otras disciplinas y no en gestión empresarial. El único problema era la capacidad limitada de la biblioteca en lo que respecta a la sección de gestión empresarial. No pude asistir a mi último examen debido a una enfermedad. Cuando fui a discutir esta situación con el administrador del curso, éste me informó de que el programa de Gestión Internacional no suele ofrecer un examen de sustitución, por lo que los estudiantes a los que se les impide presentarse a un examen tienen que esperar un año hasta la siguiente sesión completa de exámenes en mayo de 2004. Esto me dejaría en la misma situación que si hubiera suspendido un examen y quisiera volver a examinarse, en lugar de que se me impidiera hacer un examen por causas ajenas a mi voluntad. Por ello, escribí cartas a la Junta de Examinadores y al Director del Departamento. Después de un duro proceso, se me ha concedido un examen en agosto de 2003. Aunque entiendo que la concesión de un examen de sustitución queda a la discreción de la Junta de Examinadores de la Escuela, creo que sería injusto no conceder a los estudiantes de posgrado un examen de sustitución en agosto/septiembre de 2003, y obligarles así a esperar un año entero para completar los exámenes de satisfacción de su título de máster. Como estoy seguro de que todo el mundo puede apreciar, tal retraso en la finalización del título tendría un impacto perjudicial en la carrera de los estudiantes, dejando un paréntesis en su CV que requeriría una explicación. En un mercado laboral tan competitivo como el actual, esto podría impedir a los estudiantes comenzar a trabajar, ya que una condición normal previa a una oferta de empleo es la finalización satisfactoria de los estudios universitarios.Ver más >
