Dr. David Dalstrom was named as one of the 2015 «Top Doctors» in San Diego Magazine’s annual «Physicians of Exceptional Excellence» survey. He is currently welcoming new patients.
Dr. Dalstrom received his medical degree from The Ohio State University. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Residency at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Dalstrom then completed his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery, Foot and Ankle at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Luis Vargas, a student majoring in mathematics at the university, explained his experience as a student living in Tijuana crossing the border every day to take his classes the previous semester.
Having to get up very early in the morning to line up at the border in a car were some of the obstacles he faced when he had to travel from one country to another in order to take his classes in the United States.
Vargas shared that there are students who have certain types of passports that help them cross much faster but not everyone has the same pass and this affects their time schedules to be able to cross on time before class starts.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and state officials said today that the state’s mask mandate for schools will end after March 11. Local jurisdictions are free to impose their own requirements.
Beginning March 12, all students and staff, regardless of their immunization status, will no longer be required to wear a mask inside schools and day care centers.
Gov. Gavin Newsom and California state health officials issued the order Monday, nearly a month after they lifted the mandate that vaccinated people could gather in restaurants and other indoor spaces.
«I think the masks should be optional now, meaning as of March 1,» said Megan Bacigalupi, an Oakland mother who runs the group CA Parent Power. «I don’t understand why a further delay of another two weeks has to be imposed.»

Those who are trying to vilify educators right now want to make it about politics instead of safety and science.»

When it comes to keeping in touch with alumni, there are programs in place that include a monthly alumni e-magazine that reaches 196,000 alumni. «We have an active mentoring program called AMP (Aztec Mentor Program) where thousands of alumni have helped students,» Herrick said. «We have a robust ‘Aztec for Life’ membership program with 11,000 members.»
