He obtained the best academic record during his studies in Computer Science at the UPNA and obtained a doctoral scholarship from the Government of Navarra. During his postdoctoral career he worked in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol (UK). He has worked as a software engineer and videogame developer.
He has recently founded the research group UpnaLab https://upnalab.com, where computer science, physics, electronics and mechanics are combined to create novel interactive devices. One of his main goals is to make the displays and devices developed at UpnaLab open to all people. This is reflected in his Instructables awards, hundreds of science blog posts, and the numerous Maker events and activities he runs.

Between October 16 and 19, the week ‘Colombia 2019: truth, memory and diaspora: the seeds of peace’ will take place at the University of Bristol in England. The event will include the participation of the Truth Commission.
The English university invited the commissioner to take part in these events, which are focused on peace, memory and transitional justice, to share his experience in the innovative work that has been carried out so far to collect testimonies beyond national borders and the great challenges that this work has entailed.
This dialogue with the leaders of the Commission’s gender and pedagogy work will allow exploring the opportunities, challenges and lessons learned by the entity in these aspects, as well as the role of feminism and the educational scope within a truth commission.
It is worth noting that the Colombian commission is the first commission in the world to have a cross-cutting gender approach throughout its mandate and that, in addition, pedagogy is one of the pillars of its work.
